ALLISON
VITTORIOSO
Allison is a choreographer and coach whose work spans studios, stages, and competition floors across the East Coast. In 2024 she founded Team Atlantic to answer a question the industry rarely asks: what happens when you build a team around the dancers, not around a template?
Background
A lifelong dancer and choreographer, Allison has worked with dancers at every level — from studio company members to convention-circuit competitors. That range shows up in her choreography: technically rigorous, emotionally clear, and unmistakably her own.
She trained at leading East Coast studios, apprenticed under working choreographers, and spent years on faculty at conventions before turning her attention to what would become Team Atlantic.
Founding Team Atlantic
Team Atlantic launched in 2024 as the first competitive team built specifically around student choreography. Dancers are hand-selected from events across the region and collaborate on original work alongside pieces created by Allison — a hybrid that pushes them as both performers and artists.
The team draws from more than half a dozen partner studios, meaning teenagers who would otherwise only meet at competitions now train, create, and compete together.
Coaching Philosophy
Three ideas run through everything Allison directs: student voice, individuality inside a unified team, and confidence as the byproduct of trust. She creates rooms where dancers are safe enough to take real creative risks — and where the payoff is a group that moves like it's been together for years.
HOW WE GOT HERE
Years of teaching, choreographing, and directing across studios and conventions build the foundation for a new kind of team.
Allison sketches a team model built entirely around student voice — original choreography, hand-picked from the ground up.
A roster is scouted from East Coast events and studios. The inaugural line-up is set.
The team debuts on the competition and convention circuit. Reviews from parents and fellow directors light up.
Auditions open, the roster grows, and the program deepens with new coaches and partner studios.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Dancers co-create the work. Choreographic risk is not just allowed — it's expected.
Loyal to their home studios, unified on our stage. That's the point.
The room is warm, the standards are high. Both, at the same time.
Musicality, cleanliness, presence. We don't cut corners on the fundamentals.
THE FACULTY
Choreographer, teacher, and the vision behind Team Atlantic. Personally scouts every dancer.
Invited artists across styles bring fresh voices into the season's original work.
Our dancers. Their pieces get the same production, cleaning, and stage time as ours.
